Recently, Jiah Khan met with Orlando Bloom in Venice. Jiah was holidaying with her friends and Bloom went there to attend a film festival. The two met at a bar named Cipiriani. With her long hair, Jiah caught Bloom’s attention and after knowing that she was an actress the two chat for some time.
Aside from acting in the movie, she sang one of the songs “Take Lite." The lyric was written by Jiah when she was sixteen and she also composed music for the song. The song actually reflects Jiah Khan’s character and her philosophy in life. When Ram Gopal Varma heard it, he liked it very much and requested her to reproduce the song.
When Ram Gopal Varma offered her the role, she was sixteen years old. At that time she was not sure whether she would be able to portray a character older than her.
Before landing with her role in Nishabd, Jiah was chosen by Mahesh Bhatt, another famous Bollywood director, to act opposite Emraan Hashmi in Tumsa Nahin Dekha but in the eleventh hour there was a change and Dia Mirza did the movie. She even had a relationship with Emraan Hashmi.
Jiah received formal training in opera.
Jiah studied English literature and acting in Lee Strasberg's Institute.
